Arch of Triumph

Constructed between 1806 and 1836 in honor of the French armed services, the colossal arch – 50 meters high and 45 meters wide – was inspired by ancient art. From the observation platform, there is an excellent view of the 12 avenues radiating out in the form of a star.

The Eiffel Tower

The metal tower was built in two years by the engineer, Eiffel, for the world exhibition of 1889. The tower is 300 meters high and weighs 7,000.tons. Three platforms offer panoramic views of Paris and the suburbs.

Luxembourg Gardens

On the Left Bank of Paris, with almost 62 acres of green grass, the Luxembourg Gardens house children’s playgrounds, tennis courts and more. The Luxembourg Palace stands in the northern section of the Gardens, housing the French Senate since 1958.

Notre Dame

Built between 1163 and 1345, it combines balanced proportions and harmonious lines with subdued decoration.

Bastille

The name Bastille was taken from the medieval French word "bastide" or "fortress". It was completed in 1382 with walls over 80 feet in height. The fortress was used as a prison till 1789.
